The problem with these sort of things that I like to do is that I become so engrossed in the work that I begin to neglect other parts of my life (i.e. hunger and socializing). After finding out last night that iframes just wasn’t going to work in the way that I wanted on my Web site, I told myself that I would look for solutions in the morning. I don’t know why I believed such a lie for even a split second.

I was going to chop up my background image and use tables, but then I couldn’t find out how to stack tables. On my search journey to figuring it all out, I stumbled upon some forums that stated that tables suck, as well! Apparently, the less HTML in your source code, the better. Besides, tables were made for content, not design. Where would my journey take me next?

The next best thing to do, in my opinion, is always to see what other people are doing to get some inspiration (or glimmer of hope, in my case). I found the answer: div tags and lots of CSS. I desperately crawled the Web to find an easy-to-understand way of creating my Web site the way I wanted using div tags. It seemed way too complicated and complex and just when my body was about to give way from lack of sleep (It was probably around 2 a.m.), someone provided the perfect solution.

Then I stayed up until 3:30 a.m. testing two of my pages with the new code and went to sleep. Learning more about something you enjoy is always fun!

Today, I completed recoding all the pages and went ahead and just uploaded all the pages for you all to see. For novices, it may look the same… but there is more than meets the eye (lots of hard work and sweat). However, my Web site is still incomplete. I will always be adding to it and testing out cool features, which may seem archaic to the expert. Oh yeah, and I have to validate my site. Sigh… :D
